Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American performer, actress and songwriter for a number of years. She was raised by her mom in the USA she faced a lot of racial taunts and made her feel being unwanted. After she participated in a school competition and received great praise for her performance, in ninth grade, the girl began to gain confidence. The event not only helped to boost her confidence, but also changed her outlook on the future. She attended the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. When she turned 23 she began her career on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, aged 23 her first film debut was You've received mail. The biggest accomplishment of her career occurred in the role of The Lady of The Lake in Spamalot's first Broadway production. In addition to being the only actress to win the Tony Award, but her performance was also highly praised by reviewers. In the following year she was cast in the role of Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gaining wider fame. Known as a singer she has also released a single as well as an extended version of her play. She is also an activist who is active in the field of LGBT rights.
